My Customer is the UK’s leading finance broker situated just off junction 10 of the M42 outside of Tamworth in Staffordshire. They specialise in arranging loans and mortgages to members of the public and over the last 20 years we have grown impressively. Therefore we are currently recruiting for the following position:
Assistant Web Developer
This new position within the Marketing department would suit a recently graduated candidate in Computer Science or equivalent, eager to work alongside our E-Marketing Developer, who is currently responsible for monitoring, building and promoting Ocean’s various branded websites and micro sites.
Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will primarily assist the marketing team on simultaneous e media projects from start to finish, having input into designing and coding. The applicant must be reasonably proficient in at least 5 of the following 8 key skills:
code in HTML/XHTML and /or CSS, utilisation of XML, ASP and / or Java script, create in Photoshop, Flash and / or JQuery.

Daily responsibilities for the Assistant Web Developer will include some of the following:
>Help develop new content for the websites as our the product range expands.
>Help with the creation of micro sites and their maintenance. Improve SEO positioning of the website through relevant content and pro-active link sourcing.
>Assist in designing engaging banners and landing pages that are consistent with Ocean Finance & Mortgages Ltd’s brand positioning. Advocating for the best possible customer experience.
>Assist in tracking how the company is being represented on the internet on external websites, forums and blogs.
>Assist in tracking display campaigns and look for any available marketing opportunities.
>Assist in the design, coding and testing of technical solutions.
>Work independently and with E-Marketing Developer to create a variety of web and client-server applications to enhance the user experience for both internal and external customers.
>Monitor and troubleshooting application configuration and availability issues.
>Adhere to coding standards defined by technical management.
>Provide concepts and graphics from creative briefs provided by the marketing team.
