Technical Sales Manager

The Technical Manager’s role is a key position our Firm. Reporting to the Sales Manager you will be able to promote our products to a range of customers making coatings + inks, fillers + extenders, adhesives + sealants, foundry resins + investment castings and the electronics industries.
The Candidate:
A sound technical background is essential, with a Chemistry degree the ideal qualification.
You will probably have spent the early part of your career in a technical environment where you will have gained the necessary background required.
The position also requires the ability to hold detailed discussions with customers at all levels; it is therefore essential that you have at the very least technical service experience or, better still, you have moved into sales.
The other attributes and skills we are looking for include:
• A self starting attitude coupled with good organisational skills, especially when planning meetings with customers.
• The ability to work under your own initiative when identifying new customers and markets.
• The confidence to meet customers at all levels, from board members to technicians.
• To work closely with the customers so you gain their respect and trust, therefore becoming someone they turn to for solutions to problems.
• To deliver concise and accurate reports on the market both internally to the Allchem management and externally to our suppliers.
• The position will include extensive travel in the UK and on the continent.
