MANAGER, USER EXPERIENCE ARCHITECT
Tuesday, June 14th, 2011As Manager Information Architecture you are responsible for the navigation, organization, interaction design, and business/user process engineering for leading-edge Web solutions and software. Your experience in user-centered research, design, brand development, as well as content and brand strategy will allow you to craft award winning experiences with the help of a team of experts from yours and other disciplines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead and inspire teams to create and evolve visionary multi-channel customer experiences
* Provide oversight and leadership to user experience teams
* Manage creative teams and tracks of work including: Team mentoring, project planning and estimation as well as risk/issue management and resolution
* Provide mentorship and career development for more junior team members
* Manage creative teams and tracks of work including: Team mentoring, project planning and estimation as well as risk/issue management and resolution
* Create user experience audits and heuristic evaluations
* Generate concepts and site structure definitions as well as task/process flows
* Generate user profiles and (test) scenarios
* Responsible for wireframe design and solution prototyping
* Present concepts and progress to clients
* Identify tools and techniques that evolve existing approaches for the creative community at Sapient
EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES:
* Bachelor’s degree preferred in design-related discipline
* Significant relevant experience; Prior experience in a consulting firm preferred
* Expert in user-centered design methods and techniques
* Proficient in relevant design tools, e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Omnigraffle, Microsoft Visio, Axure RP Pro, Balsamiq, etc.
* Thorough understanding of digital/interactive industries and technologies
* Proficient to expert in: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio, Microsoft Office
* Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills
* Prior experience in UI design for mobile devices a plus
* Frequent overnight travel may be required
